Toyota Financial Services UK has an opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join our New Business team, working in a twelve-month fixed term contract.
The role in a nutshell:
- Day‑to‑day team management of the New Business operation, including liaising with Centres on pay out queries.
About the Department:
The New Business and Fraud teams are part of the wider Risk Operations department at TFSUK. New Business work closely with the centre network to support them through the onboarding of new customers, including the administration of finance agreements. The Fraud team are responsible for undergoing appropriate checks and investigating any suspicious activity linked to potential customers, before their motor finance agreement can be approved and activated and throughout the customer journey when appropriate. The teams operate to a high standard, working to agreed SLAs (service level agreements) in a fast‑paced environment, all whilst maintaining positive relationships with the wider centre network.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carry out regular individual reviews with the New Business Team members that report directly into them.
- Conduct regular one‑to‑ones and identify development areas for line reports.
- Work closely with the Retail Business & Fraud Manager and other New Business Team Leader, ensure a consistent message is delivered throughout the department in all aspects of the role.
- Together with the other Team Leader and Retail Business Manager, assist in the day‑to‑day supervision of the New Business functions of proposal processing and payouts. This will include resource allocation for 6‑day shift work, workflow and capacity management.
- In conjunction with the other team leader, hold regular meetings with the NBAT team ensuring policies and new best practices are communicated and actioned.
- Liaise with Centres and customers (as appropriate), display a customer service focus in the resolution of disputes as necessary. This also extends to communication with TFS field operations.
- Responsibility for the performance against published service standards in terms of response times and other commitments.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of underwriting decision making.

Key Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience working in a supervisory or team leader position, with experience of identifying development opportunities.
- Experience working with multiple workloads.
- Knowledge of motor finance would be ideal.
- Proficiencies in using Microsoft Office software.
