1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants The Management Accounts team plays a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of KINTO UK through diligent oversight of financial controls, cash management, and balance sheet reconciliations. Responsible for safeguarding assets and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, the team reviews and strengthens internal controls to mitigate financial risks and prevent fraud. This role that you are applying for, will be working for KINTO-UK Ltd which is a Mobility Brand owned by the Toyota Group, offices located in Portsmouth. KINTO-UK share their HR function with Toyota Financial Services (TFS) in the UK, however the job being advertised will not be working directly for Toyota Financial Services. The Assistant Management Accountant role involves managing a diverse range of financial tasks, from completing balance sheet reconciliations promptly to processing bank transactions and preparing ad-hoc analysis. Initially (up to 12 months) this will role will be heavily cashier based, and the ideal candidate would own this and become the senior person for this role. Each task requires the post holder to understand their responsibility, have attention to detail, analytical thinking, and adherence to accounting policies and procedures. Requirements Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with experience in balance sheet reconciliations, management accounts preparation, and financial analysis. Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately process financial transactions, identify discrepancies, and reconcile accounts with precision. Time Management: Capacity to prioritise tasks effectively, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with departmental heads, resolve queries, and present financial information effectively. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analysing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to support decision-making and strategic planning. Problem-Solving Abilities: Capacity to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes of discrepancies, and propose solutions to improve processes. Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, fostering positive working relationships and achieving common goals. Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirements, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in the face of challenges.
