This role will be working for KINTO UK, a mobility brand owned by the Toyota Group. The Treasury & Cash Team Leader has overall responsibility for the organisation’s treasury activities, cash management, and liquidity position. The role provides leadership, governance, and assurance over all treasury processes, ensuring cash resources are sufficient, risks are actively managed, and controls are consistently applied.

The role acts as the primary point of contact with external treasury stakeholders, including TFS UK and KEU (Parent Company), and is accountable for monitoring and adhering to treasury-related Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) in line with governance and risk frameworks.

A bit about Management Accounts, Treasury & Cash Function: The Treasury function safeguards liquidity, ensures adequate funding, and maintains strong governance over cash movements. Accurate daily reconciliation, high-quality reporting, and close collaboration with shared service partners are central to effective financial planning and risk management.

What you'll be doing:

  • Holding overall accountability for all treasury and cash management activities, including daily cash positioning and liquidity planning.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing the Treasury & Cash team, setting clear expectations and ensuring consistently high standards of delivery.
  • Ensuring adequate cash resources are available to meet business needs, escalating risks and funding considerations as required.
  • Overseeing daily bank reconciliations and cash controls, ensuring issues are investigated, resolved, or escalated appropriately.
  • Producing, reviewing, and providing oversight of cash flow and liquidity reporting to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Acting as the key Finance liaison with TFS UK and KEU, ensuring accurate, timely data exchange and strong working relationships.
  • Owning treasury-related KRIs, ensuring they are monitored, adhered to, and reported in line with risk and governance requirements.
  • Leading treasury-related initiatives and projects, including process improvements, control enhancements, and system changes.
  • Ensuring strong audit trails, compliance with treasury policies, and readiness for internal and external audit review.
  • Supporting the Management Accounts Manager with treasury insights, risks, and recommendations.
  • Enhancing cash forecasting, scenario modelling, and liquidity stress testing.
  • Driving automation and efficiency improvements across treasury and banking processes.
  • Supporting changes to funding structures, banking arrangements, or group treasury initiatives.
  • Broadening involvement in financial risk management and control frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in treasury, cash management, or finance operations within a controlled environment.
  • Proven people leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to coach and develop team members.
  • Solid understanding of cash flow management, liquidity risk, and treasury controls.
  • Experience liaising with group treasury functions or shared service providers (e.g. TFS UK, KEU).
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and judgement skills.
  • Systems experience including SAP and/or Sofico Miles (or similar).
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders.

Working Hours: 37.5 per week Monday - Friday. Hybrid working policy 2 days from home each week should you want to.
