Description
Toyota Financial Services UK are looking for an experienced Corporate Credit Analyst, joining us in a 12-month fixed term contract.
The role in a nutshell: This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting responsible lending decisions across TFSUK, KINTO and the One Toyota Fleet Team. You will combine financial analysis, underwriting judgement and stakeholder collaboration to help protect the business, support our customers and dealer partners, and contribute to continuous improvement across Corporate Credit.
About the ‘Department’: The Corporate Credit team completes financial analysis, recommendations and underwriting for funding requests from £250k to £250m for Fleet & Wholesale customers and dealerships. The team plays a key role in supporting quality lending decisions, managing credit risk and enabling sustainable growth across TFSUK, KINTO and One Toyota portfolios.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide a high standard of financial analysis preparing credit reviews and make recommendations for lending for submission and approval by relevant authorities.
- Recommend frequency of future reviews and stock audit controls through our clearly defined grading structure.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding when reviewing and approving underwriting submissions at the appropriate authority level.
- Manage the update of Management Information provided by Toyota and Lexus Centres, reviewing Management Information for early warning signals, risk indicators & adverse trends, utilising excel skills and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Assist in the management of credit related and underwriting policies and procedures, ensuring they are maintained and comply with SOX, Money Laundering and GDPR requirements.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding in matters relating to credit, financial analysis, underwriting and facility approval or financial by acting as a reference point for relevant departments and colleagues.
- Assist in managing the parameters and security of Dealer funding instruments, across various product ranges including new car funding, used car funding, current account, demonstrator facilities, term loans and mortgages.
- Take ownership and responsibility for ensuring performance against published service standards.
Requirements
Key Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience of financial analysis and underwriting for corporate customers.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends and draw clear conclusions.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, including VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, pivot tables and macros.
- Basic PowerPoint and Power BI skills.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for using technology and data tools to improve analysis, identify trends and support continuous improvement.
