Join to apply for the People and Culture Partner role at Toynbee Hall. This role partners closely with the Head of People & Culture and senior stakeholders to lead the transformation of Toynbee Hall’s people strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR & Culture – drive initiatives that promote inclusivity, high performance and wellbeing.
- Employee Relations – support senior leaders in handling complex employee relations cases.
- Recruitment & Onboarding – lead end-to-end recruitment and design induction programmes.
- Payroll & HR Operations – manage payroll processes and ensure compliance.
- Performance, Learning & Development – oversee performance management and learning programmes.
- Wellbeing, EDI & Engagement – embed trauma-informed HR practices.
Essential Criteria
- CIPD Level 5 minimum.
- Proven track record in HR/People roles with complex employee relations experience.
- Experience managing payroll processes with high accuracy.
- Experience leading end-to-end recruitment.
- Experience designing onboarding and induction programmes.
- Experience drafting HR policies and procedures and conducting gap analysis.
- Experience supporting managers through TUPE and/or redundancy.
- Strong organisational, communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and commitment to inclusion and diversity.
- Experience working in a unionised environment.
- Experience in the charity/non-profit sector is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, active listening.
- Alignment with Toynbee Hall’s mission and strategy.
