We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Early Years Deputy Manager to join our Outstanding Day Nursery. In this pivotal role, you will support the overall management of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for babies and young children. Your leadership will inspire staff, engage with families, and uphold high standards of early childhood education. Duties
- Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient nursery functioning.
- Support and supervise nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare and early childhood education programs.
- Lead by example in creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes children's learning and well-being.
- Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and nursery activities.
- Support staff recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives.
- Participate in planning activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning.
Qualifications
- Proven management or leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
- Extensive experience working directly with children in early years or childcare environments.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently with children, parents, and team members.
- Childcare qualifications such as Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or equivalent are essential.
