With a global and domestic sourcing footprint, we have the expertise and capabilities to source, develop, procure, import and export a comprehensive range of meat, dairy, seafood and ingredients. Your new role Due to continuous growth and development, we have a position for an experienced Meat Trader with a proven track record sourcing and selling Beef, Lamb, Pork and/or Poultry products. As a Meat Trader within Townview, you will deliver business domestically and internationally. The expectations are that you can hit the ground running and tap into your experience and knowledge of suppliers and customers domestically and worldwide to help grow our meat/protein division and enter new markets. We are seeking experienced meat traders with a proven track record of delivering successful numbers. You’ll be highly skilled in buying and selling domestically and globally and have strong knowledge of the sector. You will be able to build long-lasting, solid relationships and work as part of a team. The person We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded colleague who wants to further develop their career in a fast-paced, highly ambitious international trading business. You should be a team player, want to excel in your field, and have exceptional organisational and management skills. Key Responsibilities • Identify, source and nurture new customer and supplier accounts. • Grow and maintain existing customer accounts. • Supplier and customer management. • Monitor customer/competitor activity and industry trends. Required Criteria • Excellent command of the English language (other languages advantageous). • 5-10 years of relevant Meat Trading experience. • Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
