Join our team as a School Officer - Emerging Leaders Coordinator at Burdekin Catholic High School, Ayr! We’re looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to work in a Term time, Fixed Term capacity completing 18 hours per week (days negotiable). The role commences on the 14th June 2026 and will conclude on the 4th December 2026.
In this role, you will coordinate and run the day-to-day administration of the Emerging Leaders program, driving key initiatives like Personalised Leadership Agreements (PLAs), student mentoring, information sessions, and First Nations homeroom and tutoring classes. You will directly support the academic, pastoral, and mentoring needs of Indigenous students, collaborating closely with the Careers Advisor to foster positive post-school pathways and Transition Plans.
Acting as a vital bridge within the school community, you will liaise with the First Nations Teacher, school leadership, TCEO staff, and families using professional judgement and discretion. Crucially, you will champion the Catholic ethos and mission of Townsville Catholic Education (TCE) through active compliance with organisational policies, ongoing professional development, and an unwavering commitment to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and mandatory student protection obligations.
