About the role
The Administration Officer to the Education Consultants provides high-quality, accurate administrative and secretariat support to three Education Consultants and associated committees within the TCEO. This is a fixed term, full-time position commencing as soon as practicable and concluding on 16 January 2026.
This interesting and varied role will see you managing multiple diaries, compiling and coordinating reports and minutes, initiating correspondence and communication on behalf of the Education Consultants and coordinating travel and accommodation.

About you
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage demanding or competing deadlines and workloads to ensure outcomes are achieved within expected timeframes
- Experience and proficiency in the use of Google and Microsoft Office Suites at an advanced level
- Demonstrated experience with the provision of focused professional, administrative and secretariat support at a high level
- Previous experience within the Education sector would be considered advantageous.
- Advanced knowledge of office procedures and practices with the ability to identify and implement improvements
- Ability to show initiative, solve problems and contribute to process improvement.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Confident, well-presented and engaging with a personal warmth that engenders mutual respect
- Proven history of professional and confidential work ethic
- Enthusiastic, energetic and flexible with a proactive attitude
- Ability to develop and sustain productive working relationships.
Mandatory Criteria/Professional Registration/Other
- Current Working with Children Suitability Card – The successful candidate will require a paid Blue Card before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
