Location: Burdekin Catholic High School, Ayr

Salary Range: $36.98 to $38.14 per hour pending experience

Join our team as a School Officer - Laboratory Technician at Burdekin Catholic High School, Ayr! We’re looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to work in a permanent, term-time capacity completing 30 hours per week.

This role provides effective support to the school's science programmes by assisting teaching staff with the design, preparation, demonstration, and delivery of practical experiments and assessments. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, maintaining, ordering, and safely disposing of laboratory equipment, materials, and stock solutions;
  • Maintaining accurate laboratory records;
  • Ensuring laboratories operate in compliance with Work Health and Safety requirements.

The position works collaboratively with academic staff and the WHS Officer to review processes, support student learning, and ensure the smooth and safe operation of science laboratories, along with undertaking other duties as required.
