ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for an experienced, commercially minded Supply & Demand Planning Manager to take ownership of our end-to-end supply chain planning across the UK, US and international markets. This is a hands-on, highly autonomous role where you’ll own demand forecasting, inventory optimisation, supply and replenishment planning, and logistics performance, ensuring we have the right products in the right places at the right time as Townhouse continues to grow. Working closely with teams across Operations, Finance, Marketing, Product and Franchise, you’ll translate commercial plans and ambitious growth targets into effective, data-led supply chain decisions.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of supply chain at Townhouse. We’re looking for someone who brings proven planning expertise from an established retail, FMCG, beauty or consumer business, alongside a genuine passion for technology, AI and automation. You’ll challenge existing ways of working, build smarter forecasting and reporting tools, and streamline processes to improve product availability, optimise working capital and reduce manual administration. If you’re a proactive problem-solver who enjoys taking ownership, turning complex data into clear action and building scalable processes in a fast-growing international business, this role is for you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own demand forecasting across our salon, e-commerce, marketplace, wholesale and franchise channels, translating commercial plans, promotions, product launches and international expansion into accurate forecasts and effective supply plans.
- Manage inventory across our UK and US warehouses and salon network, balancing product availability with working-capital targets. Identify and reduce excess stock, improve replenishment and proactively address potential stock shortages.
- Lead supply planning for new product launches, salon openings and entry into new markets. Optimise purchasing, freight, warehouse operations and stock flows to improve efficiency, availability and service levels.
- Drive the use of AI, predictive analytics and automation to improve forecasting, inventory management and reporting. Streamline manual processes and continuously improve our use of CIN7, Planergy and associated planning tools.
- Own supply chain reporting and key performance measures, including forecast accuracy, stock cover, inventory value and logistics performance. Use data to identify risks, improve decision-making and deliver measurable operational improvements.
- Lead and develop Supply Chain coordination resource(s), including dedicated US support, while working closely with Operations, Finance, Marketing, Product and Franchise to support business growth and strengthen planning processes.
ABOUT YOU
- You have significant hands-on experience in demand, supply and inventory planning within an established retail, FMCG, beauty or consumer business, with a strong understanding of proven forecasting and replenishment methodologies.
- You’re highly analytical, with advanced Excel skills and experience building forecasts, modelling inventory and using ERP, inventory-management and planning systems to make data-led decisions.
- You have a proven ability to translate demand forecasts into purchasing and replenishment plans, balancing product availability, inventory investment, working capital and cost.
- You’re passionate about technology and innovation, with demonstrable experience using AI, automation or other technology to improve planning, reporting or supply chain processes.
- You’re a proactive, self-sufficient problem-solver who takes ownership from analysis through to implementation, confidently makes decisions and challenges existing processes to find better ways of working.
- You’re commercially minded and an effective communicator, comfortable collaborating with stakeholders across multiple functions and international markets in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
