We are a family‑owned business based across the North East of England, with over 30 years of experience in the overhead crane engineering industry. We specialize in providing crane installation, repair, and maintenance services to a wide range of clients across the North East of England. We are currently looking for an Overhead Crane Engineer with a strong electrical background to join our team and help us continue to provide our clients with high‑quality services. Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain overhead cranes and associated equipment, including electrical and mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults in overhead cranes and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Conduct electrical inspections and tests on overhead cranes to ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Provide on‑site technical support and advice to clients and colleagues as required.
- Complete installs of new, innovative technology to client cranes.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
Requirements:
- Experience as an Overhead Crane Engineer or in a similar role within the crane engineering industry, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components used in overhead cranes, including PLCs, VFDs, and control systems.
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and guidelines, including LOLER and PUWER.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license is essential.
