One of our long standing clients are looking for a private chef to make dinner in the evening for a family of four, six evenings a week. They are looking for simple, healthy but well presented food, Mediterranean style and using only the best ingredients. Usually only starter and main course, they only eat puddings occasionally. Nothing oily or greasy!
You may sometimes need to adapt a dish to appeal to the taste buds of one child. The specific ingredient shopping must be brought in with you but the basic ingredients can be sourced for you in advance on a weekly/daily basis, provided the menu is well planned and the list is provided in advance.
You need to be at the house to prep possibly around 5/5.30pm (or however long you may need for the menu of that day) with dinner to be served at 8.30pm (towards the end of the week at a slightly later time of 9.00pm). All you need to do then is make sure that the kitchen is left clean and tidy before you leave.
Pay is negotiable according to ability, the guideline being £100-120 per day. It is essential that you have worked as a chef, preferably with private chef experience, if not in a high-end restaurant and are able to demonstrate skills in Mediterranean and healthy option cooking. Menu plans will be expected from applicants.
