This is a lovely job for a Housekeeping/House Management Couple to work in a beautiful home near to Tonbridge in Kent. They are looking for a couple where one of you is also a good family cook and who can make healthy food for the principal and his wife, and visiting family - if they have dinner parties they then have a local chef who comes in.
The role would be to keep the house clean and well presented, beds and linen prepared, flowers in the reception rooms, the larder stocked, general maintenance, making sure the area around the house is neat and tidy, and just generally make the house a warm and welcoming place to visit. The family keep a Labrador at the house which is currently looked after by the gardener but you may be asked to help with walks.
One, or both, of you will need to drive as this is a rural location and you will need to be able to go shopping, or pick people up from stations. A car will be available with the job.
It is essential that you have worked as a housekeeping management couple in a similar role for at least 3 years with suitable references. You will need to speak excellent English, have an eye for detail and be totally reliable.
This is a five day a week job with two days off during the week - as this is a weekend residence you should be prepared to work on Saturday and Sunday. Your accommodation is a lovely cottage with its own garden. An excellent salary is available.
