This is a lovely job for a housekeeper to work in a beautiful home near to Cranbrook in Kent. They are looking for someone who is also a good family cook and who can make healthy food for the principal and his wife, and visiting family. If they have dinner parties, they then have a local chef who comes in.
The role would be to keep the house clean and well presented, beds and linen prepared, flowers in the reception rooms, the larder stocked and just generally make the house a warm and welcoming place to visit. The family keeps a Labrador at the house which is currently looked after by the gardener, but you may be asked to help with walks.
You would need to drive as this is a rural location and you will need to be able to drive to go shopping or pick people up from stations. A car will be available with the job.
It is essential that you have worked as a housekeeper in a similar role for at least 3 years with suitable references. You will need to speak excellent English, have an eye for detail and be totally reliable.
This is a five day a week job with two days off during the week. As this is a weekend residence, you should be prepared to work on Saturday and Sunday. Your accommodation is a lovely cottage with its own garden. Salary will be £400-450 net pw depending on experience.
