EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR I – Primary Teacher Assistant
The Town of Windsor is looking for a dynamic, energetic Primary Teacher Assistant to fill a part-time afternoon position. The successful candidate will assist in the planning and implementation for an after school Primary Program for children ages 2.9 to 6 years; work with assistants, interns, and contractual employees; recommend materials and supplies as needed; assist in the preparation of daily reports to families; act in the lead role during the teachers absence; attend monthly staff meetings; participate in seminars and training sessions as assigned; and, maintain timely and accurate work records.
- Must have good knowledge of principles and practices of early childhood education and development
- Candidate should hold a current CDA or
- Completion of 12 ECE credits is required within the first year of employment
- Associates degree in education, early childhood development or related field with 1 year experience; or, any combination of education and/or experience required
- Successful completion of the Town of Windsor’s pre-employment background and drug screen – including testing for marijuana
Compensation and Schedule:
- Annual range is $17.00 to $19.00 depending on experience and qualifications
- Town employees enjoy a comprehensive benefit package, including but not limited to, health, dental, vision and life insurance, tuition reimbursement, short and long term disability, and a defined contribution retirement plan
- The hours are 12:00 am to 5:45 pm, Monday thru Friday, 52 weeks per year.
