The Town of Grafton is accepting applications for the position of Veterans Services Agent for the Central Massachusetts Veterans Services District.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Veterans Services Officer in processing benefits for eligible Veterans
- Providing customer service to walk-ins
- Organizing Memorial Day and Veteran's Day functions
Candidates for this position must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of 3 to 5 years of public service experience preferred. The successful candidate must be an honorably discharged veteran in accordance with Massachusetts State Law and must complete and maintain a state Department of Veterans Service Certification within six months of hire date. The successful applicant must possess a valid Class D Motor Vehicle Driver's License.
Compensation for this position ranges from $23.35 to $27.07 per hour, depending on applicant qualifications. This is a 35-hour per week position.
