Purpose and Objective of the Position:
The Meadows Support Staff will perform a variety of skilled tasks related to the maintenance of athletic fields. This includes marking and preparing fields for sports such as football, baseball, soccer, and track events. The role involves operating and maintaining vehicles and equipment.
Note: This is a part-time position, primarily working on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with frequent evening hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform field setup, install bases and pitching mounds, and maintain athletic fields according to sport standards.
- Maintain turf and surrounding areas through mowing, trimming, fertilizing, aerating, seeding, irrigation, and trash removal.
- Operate equipment such as mowers, trucks, tractors, graders, and sprayers, and use tools like chainsaws and trimmers.
- Clean and organize recreation facilities.
- Complete work orders and report irregularities to supervisors.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Line athletic fields for practice and games, using proper skills to ensure quality.
Salary: $13.00 per hour.
