Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and creative Senior Event Planner to join our team. This is a thrilling opportunity for a personable, dynamic and experienced individual to help establish Town Hall as London’s newest cultural landmark in a cutting-edge part of the city. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing exceptional events across our venue spaces.

This role will also play a key part in shaping and delivering events for the culture and membership team across Town Hall Presents, Society, Community and Partnerships teams that reflect the wider King’s Cross ecosystem, working with partner organisations, institutions and communities. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent coordination and communication skills, a passion for hospitality and events, and the ability to create memorable client and guest experiences.

The Senior Event Planner is a key member of the operations team, focussing on cultural, community, Society and Partnership events and will be integral to the planning and delivery of successful events whilst maintaining a high standard of customer service and compliance throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients in the planning, coordination, and delivery of events from initial enquiry through to post-event evaluation.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for key partners and high-profile or strategically important Town Hall Presents, Society or Partnership events.
  • Work closely with the Presents, Society, Community and Partnerships teams to ensure efficient and detailed client handover meetings takes place in a timely manner, acting as the conduit between culture and ops team.
  • Contribute to the development of event concepts, formats, and audience experiences that align with Town Hall’s cultural and community programming ethos.
  • Liaise with clients and the internal teams to understand the clients objectives, requirements, budget, and support in translating these into detailed event proposals.
  • Produce event schedules, function sheets, floor plans, and logistical documentation to ensure smooth execution.
  • Manage the planning and operations of the new Salon space.
  • As part of the operational team, work closely with sales, catering, and technical teams to ensure all elements of the event are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Manage suppliers and contractors, including negotiating terms and overseeing their on-site work.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local ecosystem partners (e.g. cultural institutions, research organisations, innovation partners) to support the development of collaborative events and programmes.
  • Management of booking event staffing based on event requirements with preferred venue suppliers i.e. security, cleaning, porters.
  • Conduct site visits and client meetings to review progress, confirm details, and build strong relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to bring together audiences, partners, and themes across sectors to enhance the impact and reach of events.
  • Provide on-site event management and act as the key client contact throughout the planning phase and event delivery.
  • Ensure all health and safety, licensing, and compliance requirements are met.
  • Monitor budgets, track expenditure, and deliver events within agreed financial parameters.
  • Gather client feedback and prepare post-event reports to support continuous improvement.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and new event formats.
  • Ensure a continued and confident presence at internal communication meetings including; Weekly function sheet meetings, Weekly sales workshop meetings, Weekly internal operations meetings.
