Town and Country Veterinary Group, Clayton-Le-Moors, Accrington, North West is looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse. We are a first opinion, small animal veterinary group with three sites based in Blackburn, Clayton-le-Moors & Whalley. Our facilities include Ultrasound, Digital x-ray & in-house blood machine.
We are situated perfectly with lots for you to enjoy in your spare time! Blackburn is a busy town with local amenities, fitness clubs, and local walks. We have great transport links to major cities including Manchester and Liverpool, as well as wonderful country walks and the beautiful Lake District nearby.
Preventative health care and case continuity are important to us, allowing you to build great working relationships with clients and patients. We are Lancashire’s family-oriented vets who prioritise your wellbeing!
You will need access to a motor vehicle as your shifts will be based between our 3 branches in Blackburn, Clayton-Le-Moors, and Whalley on a rota. We are happy to discuss salary requirements directly with candidates.
Your duties will include:
- General nursing duties
- Nurse clinics
- Monitoring anaesthetics
- Assisting the vets
- Care and maintenance of equipment
- Stock control
- Occasional reception duties
Our full-time role involves working 40 hours per week Monday – Friday, within the hours 8.30am-7.30pm. Saturdays will be 1 in 4 from 8:00am-5:00pm with time back in lieu. We value your personal time, so there are no late nights, out of hours, or bank holidays.
About Us: Town and Country Veterinary Group is well-established with 3 branches. Our practices are equipped with digital x-ray, a separate theatre and prep area, surgical electrocautery, multi-parameter monitor, haematology and biochemistry in-house, and a modern laptop ultrasound machine.
About the Team: We have a lovely well-established team, including 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 9 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 1 Veterinary Care Assistant, 7 Receptionists, 1 Admin, 1 Practice Manager, and a Clinical Director. Our client base is loyal, and we pride ourselves on offering the best standards of service and care.
