We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Wellbeing & Independence Coordinator (Hoarding Specialist) to support residents across the Tunbridge Wells Borough who are experiencing hoarding behaviours or challenges relating to clutter in their homes.
The role focuses on helping people improve wellbeing, reduce risks in their living environments, and regain control through personalized, strengths‑based support.
- What you’ll do
- Manage a caseload of customers, building trusted relationships and providing tailored support to help them achieve their goals.
- Conduct needs and risk assessments, and identify underlying causes of hoarding behaviours.
- Work with customers to develop practical solutions that promote independence and safety.
- Liaise with partner agencies, make referrals to specialist services, and maintain accurate case records.
- Champion the Home Straight service across the local community.
- What you’ll need
- Experience supporting vulnerable people, either professionally or through voluntary work.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Empathy, self‑motivation, and commitment to helping people make positive changes.
- Understanding of local support services, confidentiality and safeguarding.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- Full driving licence, access to an insured vehicle, and willingness to work flexibly across different locations.

This is a full‑time, fixed‑term contract position working 35 hours a week. The contract ends in March 2027. The official job title of this role is Home Straight Coordinator.
