We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Plumber Multi to join our Repairs Team. Reporting to the Repairs Supervisor, you will carry out a range of plumbing repairs, maintenance and replacement works across our social housing properties. This is a varied role that requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering a high-quality service to our residents.
In this role, you will take ownership of your work and strive to achieve a first-time fix wherever possible. You will be responsible for completing reactive maintenance tasks efficiently and to a high standard, ensuring that repairs are carried out safely, on time and within budget. Working both independently and alongside other trades, you will contribute to the successful completion of maintenance projects while maintaining excellent relationships with residents and client representatives.
What You'll Need
- To be successful in this role, you will hold an NVQ qualification, or equivalent, in Plumbing and possess a full UK driving licence.
- You will have experience carrying out plumbing repairs and maintenance work, with the ability to work with minimal supervision while consistently delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service.
- Experience within a social housing environment would be advantageous, although it is not essential.
- You will be a reliable and adaptable individual who takes pride in delivering an excellent service.
- You will be comfortable using electronic devices to record and manage work, communicating effectively with colleagues and customers, and planning your workload to ensure repairs are completed efficiently.
- Due to the nature of the role, you must have a high degree of manual dexterity and be confident using hand tools and equipment.
- You should be able to work at height, on uneven ground and within confined spaces when required.
- A strong commitment to health and safety, safeguarding and safe driving practices is essential, along with a positive and professional approach to every task you undertake.
What You’ll Do
- As a Plumber Multi, you will carry out a variety of plumbing repairs, maintenance and replacement works across our social housing properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- You will take ownership of your jobs from start to finish, aiming to achieve a first-time fix wherever possible while delivering an excellent service to residents.
- Working both independently and alongside other trades, you will identify repair requirements, diagnose faults and complete reactive maintenance tasks in a timely and productive manner.
- You will liaise with your Supervisor when additional trade support is required and contribute to the successful delivery of repair and maintenance projects.
- You will be responsible for accurately recording work completed using company systems and handheld devices, ensuring job information is updated and submitted correctly.
- You will also arrange and manage materials required for repairs, helping to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and with minimal disruption to residents.
- Throughout your work, you will maintain a professional and customer-focused approach, building positive relationships with residents and client representatives.
- You will also ensure full compliance with company Health & Safety standards, safeguarding requirements and occupational road risk policies, working safely at all times while representing the organisation professionally.
