During your apprenticeship you will:
- Dedicate at least 20% of your working hours to training or studying by attending training sessions, workshops, and meetings to gain essential knowledge in the field.
- Participate in off and on-the-job training to apply your learning in real-world scenarios, enhancing your practical skills and understanding.
- Complete assignments, assessments, and coursework to fulfil the programme's requirements.

- If you have not yet achieved a Level 2 in Functional Skills in maths and English (or equivalent, such as GCSEs at grades A-C/9-4), you will also be required to complete these qualifications during your apprenticeship.
- The initial training period will provide a better understanding of the departments in Town and Country Housing and will also require administration tasks to be undertaken such as bulk mailing, updating spreadsheets, and data entry.
- The Apprentice will shadow the Senior Project Managers and the Asset Surveyors.
- Further to this initial training period, the Apprentice will move towards more project-oriented tasks that assist the Apprentice to gain a wider understanding of project management, including procurement, contract administration, and customer liaison.
- The second part of the Apprenticeship will enable the Apprentice to gain insight into the more specialised construction disciplines.
- The Apprentice will also gain some independence and, under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager, work on their own small projects.
- During this period, the Apprentice will also shadow the party wall process, assist with a project that has consultant involvement, and assist with a statutory compliance function, such as asbestos management.
