Class Teacher (full time, permanent) starting September 2026 at Town Close School.
Salary and Benefit package:
- Salary, which will be commensurate with experience, is based on the Town Close Scale.
- Staff also receive a laptop and iPad for their professional use.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to teach KS2 confidently, with candidates who can teach a subject up to Year 8 being desirable.
- Have a specialism in teaching Geography being desirable, not essential.
- Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the School’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work, as well as making full use of the School’s extensive IT facilities e.g. iPads.
- Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment.
- Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils.
- Follow and implement the School’s marking and feedback policy.
- Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
- Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.
- Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge.
- Participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for assessments.
- Set regular Prep work (homework) in line with School policies.
