Towerview care are recruiting for a Wellbeing and Engagement Coordinator to join our team at Smithy Bridge Court Littleborough.
The role:
- Provide outstanding person-centered care and be instrumental in delivering Towerview's Wellbeing and Engagement program.
- Focus on five areas of stimulation that can help to enhance a person's physical and mental wellbeing and contribute to a good quality of life.
- Work with residents, their families and the wider care team to create an engaging and stimulating environment.
- Design and organise a range of person-centred stimulating meaningful and engaging activities within the home and local community.
- Encourage colleagues, residents, relatives and friends to participate in the home's Wellbeing & Engagement Programme.
- Support with creating an engaging and stimulating environment throughout the home.
- Arrange and support trips and outings to enable the people we support to engage in offsite activities.
- Encourage and involve the people we support with deciding on the range of activities through the development of a Resident Committee.
- Maximise the use of resources available to support with delivering meaningful and engaging activities.
- Plan/deliver individualised 1-2-1 activities as appropriate.
- Assist with fundraising and budgeting for entertainment, materials and outings.
About you:
- We are looking for someone who is warm, friendly and empathetic to the needs of the people we support.
- You will have good organisational skills, able to communicate effectively and the ability to build rapport to positively influence others.
- You will be comfortable with using technology.
- Experience in a similar environment would be ideal but not essential as we will provide training and support.
