Do you have the passion and drive to motivate people to maintain their existing hobbies and interests whilst also developing new ones? Can you create an engaging and stimulating environment that can help enhance a person's quality of life? If so, we want to hear from you.

Towerview Care are recruiting for a Wellbeing and Engagement Coordinator to join our team at Loxley Court.

The role:

As a Wellbeing and Engagement Coordinator, you will provide outstanding person-centered care and be instrumental in delivering Towerview's Wellbeing and Engagement programme. Our programme focuses on five areas of stimulation that can help to enhance a person's physical and mental wellbeing and contribute to a good quality of life. Working with residents, their families, and the wider care team, you will help create an engaging and stimulating environment that enables individuals to live their lives the way they want to.

You will be responsible for designing and organising, in conjunction with the people we support, a range of person-centred, stimulating, meaningful, and engaging activities within the home and local community. In addition, you will be responsible for:

  • Encouraging colleagues, residents, relatives, and friends to participate in the home's Wellbeing & Engagement Programme and help to embed a whole home approach to activities.
  • Supporting with creating an engaging and stimulating environment throughout the home that is appropriate to the needs of the people we support.
  • Arranging and supporting trips and outings (which may include evenings and weekends) to enable the people we support to engage in offsite activities to maintain their hobbies and interests as well as create new ones.
  • Encouraging and involving the people we support with deciding on the range of activities that take place within the home through the development of a Resident Committee, ensuring everyone has a voice and the opportunity to contribute and provide feedback.
  • Maximising the use of resources that are available such as Oomph, interactive screens, tablets etc. to support with delivering meaningful and engaging activities.
  • Recognising that some of the people we support may not want to (or are unable to) participate in group/communal activities and therefore plan/deliver individualised 1-2-1 activities as appropriate.
  • Assisting with fundraising and budgeting for entertainment, materials, and outings.

About you:

We are looking for someone who is warm, friendly, and empathetic to the needs of the people we support. You will have good organisational skills, be able to communicate effectively, and have the ability to build rapport to positively influence others. You will be comfortable with using technology. Experience in a similar environment would be ideal but not essential as we will make sure you have the training and support you need to develop your knowledge and skills. If this sounds like you, then please get in touch.
