An exciting opportunity to join one of the UKs largest independent Insurance Brokers as an International Consumer Consultant. This role has come about because of growth and expansion in the team, and we are looking for someone who can successfully manage a portfolio of international clients and deliver a personal new business and retention target.
What you will do as an International Consumer Consultant:
- You will be involved in overseeing and supporting the management of global client relationships.
- Providing comprehensive advice to consumers globally based.
- Working alongside key internal and external relationships and stakeholders, which includes talking to customers and providers all over the world.
Key Role Accountabilities:
- Collate annual business plan based on agreed sales targets and objectives.
- Achieve agreed annual sales target and revenue.
- Find networking opportunities that will allow us to gain access to a wider audience including Towergate Insurance Brokers, Introducers, WBN broker partners.
- Work alongside all Towergate Employee Benefits sales team (non-licensed) on any international opportunities.
- Build relationships with UK sales advisors via referral process to look at organic growth from their existing books.
- Assist in growth of international consumer book by supporting group scheme leaver service or switching back to UK PMI.
- All year-round support and service any new clients introduced to Towergate Employee Benefits.
- Having a clear understanding of the international markets and rules and regulations that Towergate Employee Benefits must comply with.
- Ensure all client queries, claims/invoice issues, chasing membership packs, certificates are dealt with to ensure a high-level service is being offered to our clients.
- Follow and implement all international business using the international sales process.
- Attend insurer training on a regular basis to ensure market knowledge levels are kept up to date.
- Fulfil any CPD or training needs as necessary to improve results and ensure correct information is supplied to clients.
What we are looking for in an International Consumer Consultant:
Qualifications & Experience:- Experience within Financial Services / General Insurance market is essential.
- A proven ability to negotiate successfully on behalf of clients to deliver New Business and Renewal Targets.
- Broad understanding of the healthcare market (UK & International).
- Ideally possess some knowledge of other insurance products.
- Experience in relationship building with Insurers/Providers, Clients and Sales Consultants.
- Experience of working in a changing market.
- Minimum of Cert CII (IF7) or willingness to study towards qualification.
- Professional client focused approach.
- Strong sales skills and a desire to add value to the existing international proposition.
- Strong personable telephone manner.
- Analytical and good judgement.
- Exceptional effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Well organised and can respond well under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Working well as part of a team as well as being able to work for periods using own initiative.
- Experienced in using Microsoft Office Programs.
- Efficient and Reliable.
