Role Description

This is a full-time, remote role. The Bid Manager will oversee the entire bid lifecycle to secure new business opportunities, including bid preparation, managing bid processes, and ensuring on-time submission of high-quality proposals. Day-to-day responsibilities will also include coordinating cross-functional teams, developing tailored bid responses, and aligning proposals with organizational goals. The candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with submission requirements and optimal resource allocation.

We're looking for a strategic thinker to lead our bid writing and project management efforts for bus franchise tenders. You'll be responsible for:

  • Writing compelling, compliant bid submissions
  • Managing the entire bid process from opportunity identification to submission
  • Coordinating communication with tendering authorities
  • Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
  • Keeping project teams aligned with critical deadlines
  • Project managing multiple concurrent bids.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in bid writing and project management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in transport industry preferred but not essential - we welcome talent from other sectors
  • Self-motivated individual who can work with volume of work (peaks and troughs) and at pace.

Experience / Qualifications Required:

  • Experience in Bid Preparation and Bid Writing
  • Proficiency in Bid Management and understanding of Bid Processes
  • Skilled in Proposal Management and developing competitive and compelling responses
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Familiarity with public transportation or infrastructure services is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is desirable.
