An exciting role for a motivated individual to join the Company Secretarial team at Group level as Company Secretarial Trainee. Reporting directly to The Company Secretary, you will play a key role by assisting in the smooth running of the Company Secretariat team, while gaining full exposure to all aspects of the Company Secretariat function, including:
- Assisting with the preparation and distribution of Board and Committee papers
- Maintaining statutory registers and Companies House filings
The Company offers full support for CGI UK qualification, alongside mentoring and clear progression opportunities within the Company Secretariat function, with exposure to Group-level governance in a supportive and professional environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meeting Administration
- Schedule and maintain a timetable of Committee and Board Meetings
- Assist with the preparation, collation, formatting, and circulation of Board and Committee packs
- Assist with circulating minutes, and may be called upon to draft minutes in the absence of the Company Secretary if required
- Follow up on actions arising from meetings
- Company Administration
- Provide assistance with Group subsidiaries, including updating statutory records and forms and filings at Companies House
- Maintain an annual timetable of regular Companies House and other key filings
- Maintain the Group Structure Chart and prepare quarterly investor returns
- Assist with the production of quarterly ESG reporting
Requirements – Skills and Experience:
- Excellent communicator with strong attention to detail
- Previous experience of drafting minutes and preparing Committee/Board packs
- Experience within a Company Secretarial department or supporting a Company Secretary/Company Secretarial function
- Strong organisational and diary management skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable:
- A clear desire to progress within a Company Secretarial function
- Willingness and academic aptitude to undertake the appropriate training and qualifications, with financial and mentoring support from the business
- Experience of filing documentation at Companies House
