Senior Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) Analyst – Up to £80,000 plus Excellent Benefits Package

The Role:

Our client is looking for an experienced Delegated Underwriting Authority professional to support the management, oversight, and compliance of the DUA portfolio. Working closely with the DUA Manager you will help ensure all delegated arrangements operate within risk appetite and meet Lloyd’s and regulatory requirements across both platforms. This is a real opportunity for someone to expand their knowledge working within this established team, collaborating closely with underwriters and senior management, and gain full exposure to all areas of the function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct due diligence on delegated authority
  • Involvement in the review of Binding Authority contracts.
  • Due diligence for new Lloyd’s Coverholder applications.
  • Analyse bordereaux data.
  • Correspond with brokers.
  • Assist with Coverholder audits, including scheduling relevant annual audits, process audit reports and management of audit recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Claims teams on day-to-day queries.
  • Prepare MI for underwriting committees and data for regulatory returns as required.
  • Contribute to the review of delegated authority processes and controls.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Working knowledge of Lloyd’s DA systems.
  • Working understanding of Coverholder and bordereaux systems.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills.
