Our Grimsby based client is a trusted local firm, covering all aspects of property maintenance including gas, plumbing, kitchens, bathrooms, decorating, and electrical work. They are seeking to recruit an experienced Gas Engineer to join their established in-house property maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a growing company with a strong reputation and a supportive environment.
The role involves working across a large portfolio of managed residential properties as well as private domestic work throughout North East Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas. This is a senior role and applicants must have strong experience in domestic gas work, be confident working independently and have the ability to diagnose faults and carry out installations to a high standard.
The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and your diary will be managed by the office. In addition, you will be required to form part of the 2 week on call rota system for which you will be paid an additional £20 per hour. Week one out of hours call outs are Monday to Friday and week two out of hours call outs are Saturday and Sunday. You will also be provided with a sign written van to undertake your work duties although you will be required to provide your own basic tools to be able to complete the job.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out landlord gas safety inspections and issuing certificates.
- Boiler Servicing.
- Breakdowns and repairs.
- Boiler installations and system upgrades.
- Fault finding and remedial gas works.
- Central Heating systems maintenance and repairs.
- Ensuring all work complies with Gas Safe regulations and current safety standards.
- Working professionally within occupied residential properties.
- Current Gas Safe registration (Essential).
- Significant experience as a domestic gas engineer.
- Proven experience with boiler installations, servicing and repairs.
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic ability.
- Good communications and customer service skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- £37,000 - £39,000 per annum depending on experience.
- Additional £20 per hour for all out of hours call outs undertaken.
- 28 days annual holiday including Bank Holidays with an additional day accrued per completed year of employment up to an additional 5 days.
