The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Our client, a main contractor, requires an experienced Site Manager for a permanent position based at their head office, covering sites in South / West Wales.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects. They will lead and manage members of the site construction team and subcontractors.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily site operations to ensure successful project completion within time, budget, and quality constraints.
- Requisition materials, oversee deliveries, and prioritize resource use.
- Fulfill the role of Temporary Works Coordinator.
- Supervise and manage the site team, including direct employees and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to schedules and operational standards.
- Ensure workmanship and finishes meet specifications, building regulations, health and safety legislation, and company quality standards.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and welfare responsibilities as per the company\’s health and safety policy and ISO45001.
- Maintain quality and environmental control procedures in accordance with ISO9001 and ISO14001.
- Complete daily/weekly HSEQ forms and maintain records as required.
- Maintain communication with the contracts manager and project manager.
- Liaise with surveyors regarding labor, subcontractor cost control, waste management, variations, instructions, and construction schedules.
- Build and maintain good relationships with clients, design teams, neighbors, and stakeholders.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience managing projects in live environments.
- Experience with civils, structural, mechanical, electrical, and construction elements.
- Degree/HNC/NVQ in construction management.
- SMSTS, First Aid at Work, Fire Marshall, Temporary Works Coordinator certifications.
- Appropriate CSCS Card.
- Knowledge of current health & safety, CDM regulations, and statutory building regulations.
- IT competence, including use of online construction systems (e.g., FieldView).
- Full UK Driver\’s License.
