An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our client's talented team based at their head office in Lincoln. Our client is a privately owned business with a reputation for delivering quality Civil Engineering projects within Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas, undertaking a range of interesting and diverse projects. We are seeking an experienced Estimator to produce correct prime costs, offer alternatives if appropriate, identify risk and opportunity, and submit tenders on time.
Key responsibilities as an Estimator:
- Monitor relevant planning authority websites to identify work opportunities if needed.
- Pursue opportunities to obtain tender documents.
- Completion and submission of PQQs Pre Contracts.
- Maintain material suppliers database on Conquest.
- Assess tender documents to ensure sufficient information is available to prepare a tender.
- Liaise with Accounts Manager to run a credit check on all new clients and liaise with MD and Commercial Manager on credit report and any other feedback from people about new clients.
- Take off quantities as and when required.
- Prepare and issue sub-contract enquiries and assessment of quotations upon receipt including material and sub-contractor comparisons.
- Pricing of Excavations, Concrete, Brickwork, Drainage, External works and minor landscaping.
- Complete tender documents for submission including tender qualification letter.
