Head Gardener / Groundsman (Part-Time) – Wedding Venue
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Gardener / Groundsman to join our team at a beautiful wedding venue in Llangollen, North Wales.
Hours: Approximately 24 hours per week (flexible working pattern available)
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of our grounds and gardens, ensuring the venue always looks its best for weddings and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and developing planting schemes throughout the grounds
- Planting, weeding, pruning, and caring for flower beds and borders
- Lawn care, including mowing, feeding, treating, and general turf maintenance
- Hedge trimming and general garden upkeep
- Seasonal planting and garden improvements
- General grounds maintenance, ensuring all outdoor areas are clean, safe, and presentable
- Assisting with venue preparations for weddings and special events as required
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or a similar role
- Good knowledge of planting schemes and plant care
- Experience in lawn treatment and maintenance
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- A keen eye for detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- Horticultural qualifications or relevant training
- Experience working within hospitality, estates, or wedding venues
- PA1/PA6 certification or experience using horticultural treatments
