Level 7 Health & Care Intelligence Specialist Apprentice
Service: Data Analytics & Research, Chief Executive\'s Directorate (London Borough of Tower Hamlets)
We are recruiting for a Level 7 Health & Care Intelligence Specialist Apprentice to join our Data Analytics & Research service. If you\'re passionate about using data to improve outcomes for residents, keen to champion evidence-led decision-making, and ready to grow your skills through a Level 7 apprenticeship, we\'d love to hear from you. You\'ll work alongside experienced analysts and leaders to deliver high-quality insights that inform services across the council.
In this role, you will:
- Develop, maintain and improve reporting products (dashboards, operational reports and statutory submissions) that meet business needs and drive service improvement.
- Provide timely, accurate management information and coordinate high-quality national and regional data returns, with robust QA throughout.
- Lead and support data projects spanning modelling, cleansing, linkage and enrichment; clearly communicate methods, findings and limitations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to translate business questions into technical requirements and actionable insights.
- Champion good data governance, security and access controls in line with corporate standards.
- Help build data literacy across services by supporting users to adopt self-service tools and better use data in everyday decisions.
(Your portfolio may include public health intelligence and cross-council priorities; for example, substance-misuse and rough-sleeping insight programmes.)
About you
We\'re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Eligibility and commitment to undertake a Level 7 apprenticeship in Health & Care Intelligence, with a strong motivation to develop as an advanced analytics professional.
- Applied analytical skills and a solid grasp of statistics, with the ability to choose appropriate methods and synthesise findings for different scenarios.
- Tooling proficiency or clear aptitude across common BI/analytics tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Power BI, plus R or Python) and a desire to learn quickly.
- Data management strengths: modelling, data preparation and quality assurance; an understanding of data governance and information security.
- Project and stakeholder skills: able to manage workloads, collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams and communicate confidently with a range of colleagues.
- Clear, compassionate communication and strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse community.
