As a Pest Control Technician, you can make a meaningful contribution to our Pest Control Team's mission to be the best Council-operated Pest Control Service in London. We aim to provide excellent service covering a broad range of pests and are seeking ambitious individuals with a team mentality who are eager to learn and develop professionally. By providing a supportive environment, we strive to help residents and businesses in the borough control and manage infestations of rats, mice, bed bugs, cockroaches, and other urban pests.
You will deliver a customer-focused, high-quality service, conducting site surveys following complaints or service requests, or as part of regular inspections. Responsibilities include:
- Advising clients and staff on suitable treatments and preventative measures
- Performing basic proofing works
- Coordinating and executing treatments
- Using approved methods to ensure effective pest destruction
- Undertaking block treatments and baiting programs
- Keeping accurate records of your work, including monitoring pesticide and equipment use via the stock control register

About You: You should hold an RSPH Level 2 in Pest Management or equivalent, with experience in operational pest control and familiarity with various information systems and technology. You must be capable of planning, delivering, and coordinating projects and your workload, with a strong customer focus. You should be friendly, approachable, and empathetic. A confident communicator, you should be able to work independently according to established programs and maintain concise reports and records, both written and digital. A strong understanding of and commitment to safe lone working are also essential.
