We are currently looking to fill a permanent role within the Payroll Service . If you are organized, enjoy working as part of a team, and are comfortable meeting tight deadlines, please consider applying for this position. The role is within the Improvement, Systems and Transactions Service , and we are seeking staff with a continuous improvement mindset . Previous payroll experience within Local Government is required.
About You
You should be a great communicator and coordinator, able to work effectively within internal departments and represent the Payroll Service externally with the Council’s stakeholders.
Strong numerical and analytical skills are essential, for example, proficiency in MS Excel, with the ability to process large volumes of data accurately. Excellent record keeping is key.
You should understand the importance of a good customer experience and demonstrate accountability in public service, with a willingness to develop and grow professionally. You will be expected to attend meetings and webinars regularly to ensure your payroll knowledge exceeds standard requirements.
The role requires a minimum of two days in the office per week .
