Job Description:

Adult Social Care in Tower Hamlets offers various opportunities to develop your career. We are undergoing significant changes to improve practice standards and are seeking new team members to contribute to this progress.

We are recruiting Social Workers / AMHPs for the Bethnal Green and Globe Town Neighbourhood Mental Health Team. Our multidisciplinary team focuses on adults aged 18-65 with severe and enduring mental health issues in the northwest locality (PCN1 and PCN2) of Tower Hamlets. We provide early assessment, treatment programs, and ongoing care aimed at supporting recovery, reducing relapse and hospital admissions, and enabling individuals to live at home, thereby enhancing their quality of life.

We welcome applications from Approved Mental Health Professionals. Experienced Social Workers willing to undertake training for this role are also encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

  • A recognized social work qualification and registration with SW England.
  • Dedicated and committed Social Workers with community mental health experience.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with health and social care colleagues and other agencies.
  • Experience with the Care Programme Approach, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and the Care Act.
  • Strong needs and risk assessment skills.
  • An enhanced DBS Certificate satisfactory to Tower Hamlets is required.
