Careers Young Workpath provides Careers, Information, Advice and Guidance and Employability Support for young people aged 13-19 (up to 25 with special needs) in Tower Hamlets. We work in schools, colleges and local community settings, providing information, advice, and guidance to support young people into education, employment, and training.
We are looking to recruit one Brokerage and Tracking Officer to work from our public office in Watney Market. You must have a genuine interest in working with young people in Tower Hamlets and supporting them into education, jobs/apprenticeships, and training. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong team player.
You will work with young people in various settings, providing careers information, advice, and employability support. Responsibilities include:
- Making referrals to providers
- Assisting young people with applications for jobs, apprenticeships, education, and training
- Helping them overcome barriers to learning
Your goal is to increase their confidence and enable effective transitions into adult life.
Experience required:
- Working within an IAG or job placement environment
- Working with vulnerable young people at risk of becoming NEET or who are NEET
- Partnership or multi-agency working
- Working in a multicultural environment with understanding of barriers faced by young people in accessing opportunities
The successful candidate will be highly organized, able to prioritize competing demands, and manage a demanding caseload.
