Network Coordinator

We are recruiting for Network Coordinators to join our Network Management Team on a fixed term contract.

Role Purpose: To provide high-quality coordination, inspection, recording and reporting to ensure compliance with coordination and conditions stipulated in permissions for works or activities (including events) taking place on the borough’s public highway network, ensuring works are carried out in a safe manner and comply with legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for processing, reviewing, coordinating and monitoring the potential impact on public highway users of works associated on the borough’s highways network and any other activity taking place on the public highway e.g. events.
• Fulfil the requirements of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA), the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA) and the common London Permit Scheme (LoPS) to minimise disruption, delay and congestion.
• Co-ordinate works and activities to enable the expeditious movement of traffic on the public highway network.
• Validate the accuracy of Permit Condition data as supplied by the works promoter and carry out performance monitoring as required under the legislation.
• Provide accurate and concise documentary evidence (including photographs) for live sites, reinstatements, Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) and s74 performance.
• Manage activities and work streams responsible for ensuring compliance with current, applicable, and relevant legislation, technical guidance, and Approved Codes of Practice (ACoPs).

Requirements:

• Working experience of coordination of works, S50 Licence applications, and other network management functions along with compliance of ‘street works’ and ‘works for road purposes’.
• Knowledge and experience required of the supervision and management of NRSWA 1991 inspections, street works coordination, SRoH, street works safety code of practice and charges related to unreasonably prolonged occupation of the highway.
• Valid supervisor level certificates from S1 to S7 issued by the Street Works Qualifications Register.
