We are recruiting Sessional Registration and Citizenship Officers to join the Tower Hamlets Register Office. If you are passionate about delivering excellent customer service, committed to achieving positive outcomes, and bring direct experience of working in a busy Register Office, we would love to hear from you.
In this role, you will:
- Key focus on registering births, deaths, and still births
- Issue relevant paperwork according to legislative and local requirements
- If required, register marriages and civil partnerships and assist with citizenship ceremonies
- Expected to work on a rota basis mainly weekdays and possibly weekends
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Direct and Relevant Experience of working in a Register Office - this role is not suitable for candidates who have not registered these events before
- Performing high-quality ceremonies and appointments with a strong customer focus
- Knowledge and implementation of relevant Home Office legislation, supported by GRO handbooks
- Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse community
