We are recruiting for a Finance Assistant (Trainee) to join our Pensions and Treasury Service. If you are passionate about driving service improvement, committed to achieving positive outcomes, and bring the qualification requirements, we would love to hear from you.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide general administrative support to the pension and treasury teams to facilitate the efficient and effective running of the Service.
  • Monitor the pension fund bank accounts daily and complete monthly bank account reconciliations.
  • Complete monthly contribution and benefits payable reconciliations, and prepare the related journals ensuring that supporting documents are saved in the system and available for inspection.
  • Assist with treasury duties as required.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Studied or studying or intending to study (having obtained minimum entry requirements - grade 4 or above in English and Mathematics) AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification.
  • Basic knowledge of financial processes and techniques, and experience of carrying out administrative duties.
  • Have worked or currently working in a financial environment completing reconciliations.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse community.
