We are recruiting for an Assistant Procurement Officer to join our Accommodation Procurement Team. We are looking for someone passionate about supporting Housing Options customers, maintaining a strong supply of accommodation, committed to achieving positive outcomes, and able to build effective relationships with landlords and managing agents while ensuring compliance with procurement processes.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop good working relationships with accommodation providers, establishing regular contact to help maintain the supply of accommodation to the Housing Options Service.
  • Ensure all available properties are forwarded to the relevant teams in a timely manner and liaise with colleagues to ensure efficient letting.
  • Assist with enquiries from the Finance Team, hoteliers/agents, other creditors, and debtors; monitor corrections and discrepancies so that all enquiries can be dealt with within agreed timescales, including checking and verifying landlord reserve and void period invoices.

About You

  • Knowledge of a range of software packages including Word, Excel and database and workflow packages.
  • Good literacy and numeracy, capable of producing correspondence, reports, and information for a variety of audiences.
  • Seeks opportunities to build positive relationships with people from other teams and partners.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse community.

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
