Car Pound 585-593 Commercial Road London E1 0HJ As a Pest Control Technician, you can make a significant contribution to our Pest Control Team\’s mission – to be the best Council-operated Pest Control Service in London. We aim to provide excellent service covering a growing portfolio of pests and are looking for ambitious individuals with a team mentality who want to learn and develop professionally. By providing a supportive environment, we seek to support residents and businesses in the borough to control and manage infestations of rats, mice, bed bugs, cockroaches, and other urban pests. You will deliver a customer-focused, high-quality service, conducting site and premises surveys following complaints or requests, or as part of regular inspections. Responsibilities include advising complainants and staff on suitable treatments and preventative measures, delivering proofing works, coordinating and executing treatments, and using approved methods for pest destruction. You will also undertake block treatments and baiting programmes, keep accurate records, and monitor pesticide and equipment use via the stock control register. About You: You hold an RSPH Level 2 in Pest Management or equivalent, with operational pest control experience and proficiency with information systems and technology. You can plan, deliver, and coordinate projects and workload, with a strong customer focus, and are friendly, approachable, and empathetic. You are a confident communicator, capable of working independently according to established programmes, and can write concise reports and maintain records both in writing and digitally. A strong understanding of and commitment to safe lone working are essential.
