We invite you to become the new Community Voice Lead for the Tower Hamlets Together Partnership. Tower Hamlets Together Partnership is a group of local health organisations, the Council and voluntary and community organisations and aims to deliver services which meet the needs of Tower Hamlets’ diverse communities. We want to bring about a real step change in the way people influence our work. The Partnership is committed to having the voice of people who experience services at its centre.

The person appointed to this role will lead our engagement with people, sit on our Board, advocate for people, and hold us to account for the actions we take. Working closely with the Board Chair, the Community Voice Lead will champion and challenge us on anti‑racism, health equity and inclusion. The role is part‑time, 4 days a month, paid on a freelance basis (£315 per day) and open to job‑sharers. We will offer training and support to the person appointed to this role. We are very open to a range of applicants who have had experience, paid or unpaid, in making sure people’s voice is heard and some experience challenging health inequalities. What is really important is that the Community Voice Lead has a passion for making sure peoples’ views are taken seriously.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead engagement with people and communities across Tower Hamlets.
  • Sit on the Board and represent the voice of service users.
  • Advocate for people and hold the partnership accountable for the actions we take.
  • Champion anti‑racism, health equity, and inclusive practice.
  • Ensure work on racism, health inequity and exclusion leads to practical actions based on community and system insight.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Experience paid or unpaid in ensuring people’s voice is heard.
  • Experience challenging health inequalities.
  • Passion for making sure peoples’ views are taken seriously.
  • Ability to work part‑time (4 days a month) and engage with a diverse, multi‑agency partnership.
