OITIJ-JO is dedicated to celebrating Bengali arts and crafts while fostering a sense of community, collaboration, and engagement. Operating out of Tower Hamlets, the organisation focuses on supporting underemployed women, particularly from the British Bangladeshi community, by providing valuable training and creative opportunities.
OITIJ-JO’s approach can be understood as a community wealth building practice rooted in solidarity economy principles, using food, culture, enterprise, and community-held space as forms of social infrastructure through which communities build ownership, participation, stewardship, and long-term collective wellbeing.
OITIJ-JO’s work includes, OITIJ-JO Kitchen, British Bangladeshi women led catering operation serving events, functions and community enquiries. The Team Administrator role sits at the centre of the Kitchen’s day-to-day operations, keeping enquiries, stock, finances and staffing coordinated, while also supporting the Director across the Collective’s wider activities.
OITIJ-JO’s work across all its key areas: OITIJ-JO Kitchen, OITIJ-JO Design Studio’s, OITIJ-JO Art & Crafts and OITIJ-JO Arts Space, is in transition and we are looking for someone to grow with us.
Job Title: Team Administrator

Hours: 14 hours per week (days and times to be agreed, with flexibility around catering and event
schedules – will involve unsocial hours)
Pay: £15 per hour
Responsible to: Director, OITIJ-JO Collective
Works closely with: Head Chef, Kitchen team and other OITIJ-JO Projects
