We are seeking a reliable and professional Pharmacy Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pharmaceutical products to customers in a timely and courteous manner. This role requires a full UK Driving Licence with less than 6 points, no disqualifications in the previous 5 years, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage deliveries efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service. Must have access to own car; business insurance will be paid for by the company along with mileage up to 45p per mile.
As a Pharmacy Delivery Driver, you will use strong verbal and written communication skills to build positive relationships with our pharmacy team and local patients as we introduce our new home delivery service. Many of the people we will support may be housebound or vulnerable, so your friendly, professional approach will help ensure they can access their prescriptions and healthcare essentials safely and reliably.
Duties
- Delivering prescribed medicines to patients and customers from the pharmacy.
- Completing all mandatory training needed to carry out the role safely, securely and in line with legal and pharmacy requirements.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to navigate using GPS devices.
- Organised with excellent time management skills to ensure punctual deliveries.
Please note that due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check before employment can commence. This includes both spent and unspent convictions, as well as information held by local police deemed as relevant to the role. Employment is conditional on satisfactory DBS clearance. You must also have the Right to Work in the UK.
