We're looking for an inspirational, guest-focused Head of Entertainment to lead one of the UK's most respected resort entertainment teams.
This is a unique senior leadership opportunity at one of the UK's only Fully Inclusive Resorts, Potters Resort Hopton-on-Sea, responsible for delivering an exceptional entertainment programme that sits at the very heart of the Potters guest experience.
As a member of the Resort Management Team, you will lead a talented team of entertainment professionals, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable, engaging and outstanding holiday from the moment they arrive until they leave.
Working closely with the Creative Show Producer, who leads the development and direction of our spectacular theatre productions, you will take overall responsibility for the wider entertainment operation, ensuring daytime activities, evening entertainment, guest interaction, events, service delivery and team performance consistently exceed expectations.

Job Description
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the overall performance, development and success of the Entertainment Department.
Working as part of the Resort Management Team, you'll inspire your team to deliver an exceptional entertainment programme while ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable Potters experience.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading, inspiring and developing a high-performing entertainment team, creating a culture of professionalism, creativity and exceptional guest service.
- Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the Entertainment Department, ensuring consistently high standards across all activities and events.
- Overseeing the planning and delivery of daytime activities, hosted events and evening entertainment outside the main theatre productions.
- Continually reviewing and evolving the entertainment programme, introducing fresh ideas to keep the Potters experience innovative and market-leading.
- Maintaining a visible presence across the resort, engaging with guests and ensuring exceptional service at every opportunity.
- Monitoring guest feedback and implementing improvements to continually enhance the guest experience.
- Leading recruitment, coaching, performance management and succession planning to develop future talent within the department.
- Accountable for the overall financial and commercial performance of the department, ensuring effective management of budgets, labour resources and operational costs.
- Working collaboratively with departments across the resort to deliver a seamless, fully inclusive guest experience.
- Ensuring the department operates safely and remains fully compliant with Health & Safety, safeguarding and company policies.
- Leading by example as a member of the Resort Management Team, supporting wider business initiatives and championing a positive One Team culture.
- Hours of Work
- 40–48 hours per week
This role requires flexibility and will include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays in line with the entertainment programme and business needs.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience leading large hospitality, leisure, resort, holiday park, cruise or entertainment teams.
- Demonstrable experience inspiring, motivating and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent operational planning and organisational skills.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing departmental budgets and labour costs.
- Ability to make sound decisions, solve problems and remain calm under pressure.
- Experience managing performance, attendance, employee wellbeing and departmental development.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and safeguarding responsibilities within a guest-facing environment.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Entertainment, Events or Hospitality Management qualification.
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.

This is a full-time role, five days out of seven, with hours determined by the needs of the business.
