Role Description

The Bartender at Toum is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater London. This role is responsible for preparing and serving a range of cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages that complement Toum’s Lebanese and French-inspired menu. Day-to-day tasks include welcoming guests, taking drink orders, recommending menu items, and ensuring accurate cash handling and till operation. The Bartender will maintain bar cleanliness and organization, manage stock levels, and follow all health, safety, and responsible service guidelines. The role also involves working closely with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver seamless, high-quality hospitality in both the main restaurant and Encore listening bar.

Qualifications

  • Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to engage guests, manage busy service, and uphold Toum’s hospitality standards.
  • Solid Food & Beverage knowledge, including cocktails, wines, and spirits, with enthusiasm for Lebanese and French-influenced flavors.
  • Proficient Bartending skills, including drink preparation, garnishing, and bar setup/breakdown in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable Cash Handling skills, with experience operating POS systems and managing payments accurately.
  • Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting; experience in London or similar markets is an advantage.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as part of a collaborative team.
  • Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and basic food safety practices.
  • Professional, inclusive approach to working with diverse guests and colleagues; additional language skills are a plus.
