The Role
This is a senior, hands-on position for an experienced marketing and events professional. You’ll lead on all aspects of marketing strategy, brand management, events delivery, digital presence and stakeholder engagement, ensuring Touchwood remains top of mind for shoppers and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and deliver the annual marketing strategy aligned with footfall and sales targets.
- Brand Management: Maintain strong, consistent brand messaging across all platforms and channels.
- Campaigns & Events: Plan, execute and analyse all major marketing campaigns and in-centre events – from Santa’s Grotto to seasonal spectacles.
- Stakeholder Relations: Be the first point of contact for retailers, the local BID team, Solihull Council, CBRE, Ardent and community partners.
- Budget Management: Control anannual budget, including planning, forecasting and reconciliation.
- Digital & Social: Oversee and grow Touchwood’s digital presence across Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, SEO and more, supported by agencies or freelancers.
- Community & PR: Drive local engagement through partnerships, CSR activities, PR andcommunications.
- Gift Card Scheme: Manage and promote the Touchwood gift card to support retailers and centre performance.
About You
This role requires proven experience in marketing and events management at a comparable level – ideally within retail, leisure, hospitality or destination environments.
We’re looking for:
Demonstrable experience delivering successful marketing strategies and high-impact events.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong digital and social media knowledge.
Confidence managing budgets and agencies.
A collaborative, creative mindset with the drive to make things happen.
